JBAS-23S

Under general supervision and following established procedures will assist Regional Mgr, Site Manager, the account finance team and business management in preparing both internal JCI and customer monthly accounting and financial reporting packages as required for the JCBAS account management.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

1. Prepares journal entries as they relate to project revenues, expenses, and accruals and assists in other month-end closing activities.

2. Reviews accumulated labor, fringe benefit, and material purchase detail for appropriateness to contract provisions prior to billing.

3.Receives invoices from subcontractors and provides to PM for concurrence and approval

4. Ensures the correct cost code, CLIN number, and PO number is on the invoice and logs invoice as payment.

5. Tracks subcontractors invoice as a cost against their contract amount.  Subcontract payment shall not exceed their physical progress.

6. Gathers approved packing slips from each project manager for material received on site.  Logs the cost for the piece of equipment, materail, etc to the correct job, cost code and CLIN.

7. Forwards all vendor/subcontractor invoices to Gaithersburg office for payment.

8.  Works with the PM(s) to develop invoices to our customer (the Corps) and ensures they are submitted for payment.  Ensures that the subcontractor is not getting paid ahead of the amount JCBAS is able to invoice the Corps.

9.  Works with the PMs on forecasting  of costs, revenue, and margin.  Compare the PM's current forecast against the business units forecast commitment to home office and register any variance.

10. Prepares billings to customer in accordance with terms and conditions of assigned contracts and distributes to customers in an accurate and timely manner.

11. Runs reports as requested or needed to support business operations.

12. Assists operations staff and customers in resolving costing/billing issues in a timely manner.

13. Assists operations staff in budget preparation for accounting and financial planning purposes.

14. Completes tasks as assigned relating to audit activities.

15. May assist in the preparation of schedules, or cost reports such as trial balances, balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.

16. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment and willing to perform any other non-specific job related duties as requested.
